Song: Thee Oh Sees - “Opposition”

It’s no secret that Thee Oh Sees are one of my favorite bands around, and one whom I’ve repeatedly referred to as “the greatest live act in the world.” Carrion Crawler / The Dream— which, if you’re keeping score at home, is the second LP of 2011 released under the band’s name— is a record that reaches the highs of their best albums (which is pretty much the five they’ve released since 2008). I was given the honor of reviewing it for Pitchfork, and you should read it and listen to the album and buy it (and their other ones) and go to see them play every single time they hit your town because I seriously don’t have enough good things to say about them.
